Tuesday is the perfect reset button. Not too late, not too early. Monday's chaos has settled, but the week still has momentum. This is your chance to step back, assess honestly, and make the small adjustments that turn an okay week into a great one.

The beauty of Tuesday lies in its positioning. You're past the Monday scramble of catching up on emails and figuring out what happened over the weekend. You're not yet in Wednesday's thick-of-it urgency or Thursday's sprint-to-the-finish mentality. Tuesday gives you breathing room to think strategically while you still have time to act.

Think of today as your weekly debugging session. Just like software developers pause to identify and fix small issues before they become major problems, you can catch the patterns and behaviors that might derail your week. The best part? Small course corrections today can save you hours of stress and frustration later.

Quick 3-Question Self-Check

Before you dive back into your task list, pause for sixty seconds and honestly answer these three questions:

  • What's one thing I actually finished on Monday? Give yourself credit where it's due. Even if Monday felt chaotic, you accomplished something. Recognizing this builds momentum for today.

  • What's one thing I kept putting off? Why? Be specific about the "why." Is it because the task is unclear? Too big? Boring? Identifying the real reason helps you address the root cause, not just the symptom.

  • What's the most important thing I need to complete by end of Wednesday? This isn't about your entire to-do list. Pick one thing that, if completed, would make you feel genuinely good about your week's progress.

Small Adjustments to Make Today

Here are four small changes you can implement in the next ten minutes that will ripple positively through the rest of your week:

  • Move your top priority to the first time block after lunch. Your post-lunch energy is often underestimated. You're alert but not frantic, focused but not burned out. Use this sweet spot for your most important work.

  • Cancel one unimportant task or meeting. Look at your schedule right now. What's one thing that won't meaningfully impact your goals if you skip it? Cancel it. Protect your time like the finite resource it is.

  • Set a 25-minute timer and just start the thing you're avoiding. Don't aim to finish it, just start it. Often the hardest part is breaking the initial resistance. Once you begin, momentum takes over.

  • Text or Slack one person for clarity instead of stewing in uncertainty. Stop wondering what they meant, whether they're waiting for you, or if you're on the same page. Five minutes of direct communication can eliminate hours of mental spinning.

Your Tuesday reset doesn't require a complete overhaul of your week. Small, intentional adjustments compound quickly. By Thursday, you'll be amazed at how much smoother everything feels.

As always have a great day and see you all tomorrow!
